Mr. Cohen has nearly 30 years of experience in real estate, most of them with Draper and Kramer, Incorporated.
In his current position, which he has held since 1999, Mr. Cohen leads the Real Estate Management and Leasing Group, which includes the individual apartment, condominium, office, industrial and retail service lines. Mr. Cohen also oversees two distinct brokerage groups, one specializing in residential sales, and the other in commercial transactions. He works closely with other executives to determine profit and loss goals for the property management organization, and manages performance to achieve these goals. He also is a member of Draper and Kramer’s Management and Investment committees.
Mr. Cohen rejoined Draper and Kramer in 1999 after a short absence, during which he was Senior Vice President of Bircher Property Services. He originally started with Draper and Kramer in 1975 in the Office/Industrial Management Services Division, working his way up from Property Manager to Senior Vice President in charge of this operation.
Mr. Cohen received his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana, and his master’s in business administration from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a Certified Property Manager (designated by the Institute of Real Estate Management) and received a Real Property Administrator designation from the Building and Operating Management Association. In addition, he is a licensed as a real estate broker in Illinois.
