Senior Vice President, Director of Management Services
Julie F. Stevlingson is senior vice president and director of management services at Draper and Kramer, Incorporated, bringing more than 27 years of experience as a property management professional to her work overseeing Draper and Kramer’s management division, which include 8,000 rental units under management in Chicago, St. Louis, San Antonio and Dallas.
With Draper and Kramer, Stevlingson has led management professionals in upholding an exceptional level of property management standards, using a team-focused leadership style that empowers everyone from the youngest employees to seasoned veterans to take ownership and initiative in their individual roles and contribute to the firm’s success. Her management approach has helped the Draper and Kramer team earn numerous industry recognitions such as Commercial Property Executive Distinguished Achievement Awards for Most Effective Property Management Program (2017) and Most Effective Property Repositioning Plan (2017); the Chicagoland Apartment Marketing and Management Awards for Best Community Amenities Package (2016) and Best Assistant to the Property Manager (2016); the Minnesota Multi Housing Association Achievement in Design, Advertising and Community Support Awards for Property Manager of the Year (2016); the St. Louis Apartment Association’s Property of the Year Award (2017); IREM’s Accredited Management Organizations of the Year (2014); and more.
Besides overseeing property management and operations, Stevlingson has leveraged her extensive industry experience to help Draper and Kramer expand the footprint of its management portfolio through the acquisition of new multifamily communities in Texas and Chicago’s suburbs. She provides the firm’s acquisitions and development team with valuable insights in the way of unit inspections and capital improvement needs, market surveys and analysis of property financials prior to acquisition – all based in her years of direct practical experience overseeing property operations.
A Certified Property Manager (CPM®) through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), Stevlingson is also a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker, and is currently pursuing a managing broker’s license – a designation that will allow her to serve as a sponsor for other brokers at Draper and Kramer. She is a graduate of Minnesota State University – Moorhead, with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with a concentration in advertising.
