Executive Vice President of Real Estate
As executive vice president of real estate with Draper and Kramer, Incorporated, Ed Polich oversees all development initiatives and chairs the firm’s investment committee, which evaluates potential transactions to ensure they align with the company’s strategic objectives.
Ed most recently served as Draper and Kramer’s chief development officer, overseeing acquisitions and dispositions, asset management and the development of key multifamily assets.
Early in his career, Ed spent more than a decade with Draper and Kramer’s construction services department, playing a pivotal role in shaping the company’s development services group. He left the firm in the early 1990s, taking a role as Midwest regional operating partner with Linpro Partnerships/LCOR Incorporated. Soon after, he was part of the founding team of Waveland Partners, LLC, a real estate asset creation and management firm, before rejoining Draper and Kramer in 2014.
Ed began his career as an architect with Perkins&Will. He earned his professional degree in architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT).
A native Chicagoan and North Side resident, Ed is a member of many local community organizations. Among his philanthropic activities, he serves on the boards of directors of Claretian Associates and Lambda Alpha International Chicago, sits on the Near South Planning Board and IIT’s College of Architecture Board of Advisors. He is also chairman of the Mies van der Rohe Society at IIT.
