Executive Vice President of Real Estate
As executive vice president of real estate with Draper and Kramer, Incorporated, Ed Polich oversees all development initiatives and chairs the firm’s investment committee, which evaluates potential transactions to ensure they align with the company’s strategic objectives.
Polich most recently served as Draper and Kramer’s chief development officer, overseeing acquisitions and dispositions, asset management, and the development of key multifamily assets.
Early in his career, Polich spent more than a decade with Draper and Kramer’s construction services department, playing a pivotal role in shaping the company’s development services group. He left the firm in the early 1990s, serving as Midwest regional operating partner with Linpro Partnerships/LCOR Companies and founding Waveland Partners, LLC, a real estate asset creation and management firm, before rejoining Draper and Kramer in 2015.
Polich began his career as an architect with Perkins and Will. He earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology.
A native Chicagoan and North Side resident, Polich is a member of many local community organizations. Among his philanthropic activities, he serves on the boards of directors of Claretian Associates and the Mies van der Rohe Society at IIT.
