Draper and Kramer, Incorporated, AMO®, a national full-service real estate firm, is pleased to announce Tim Kramer, vice president and director of operations, management services, was named the 2027 Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®) secretary/treasurer nominee. With this nomination, which will be formally elected by the organization’s Governing Council later this year, he will serve on IREM’s 2027 Leadership Team. The nomination also puts him in line to serve as IREM’s secretary/treasurer in 2028, president-elect in 2029, president in 2030 and immediate past president in 2031.
Kramer, the great-grandson of Draper and Kramer co-founder Adolph Kramer, leads operations across Draper and Kramer’s national portfolio of multifamily communities, including more than 5,000 units under management in Chicago, St. Louis, Dallas, Austin, Phoenix and Denver. His 30-year career in multifamily property management includes a long track record of involvement and leadership with IREM, including serving as a national director and international instructor as well as sitting on the organization’s Governing Council, ethics inquiry panel, ethics hearing and discipline panel, ethics committee, and the former Real Estate Management Excellence Awards advisory board. He holds IREM’s CPM® (Certified Property Manager®) and ARM® (Accredited Residential Manager®) certifications.

In addition to the IREM nomination, Kramer was also recently appointed president of the Apartment Building Owners and Managers Association (ABOMA), a nonprofit that represents ownership and management of over 500 multifamily member buildings in the Chicago area. He is also an Ely Chapter member of Lamda Alpha International, a global land economics society.
Kramer first joined Draper and Kramer in 1993 as a leasing consultant and subsequently served as property manager and property operations specialist before being promoted to his current position in spring 2019. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from the University of Phoenix and has completed additional executive education in operational management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management.
