“Train your habits, not just your skills.” Elizabeth Soldwedel, senior loan servicing analyst at Draper and Kramer, Incorporated, embraced that driven, detail-oriented mindset early on as a competitive swimmer, spending over a decade in the sport. Today, she brings that same focus and discipline to her professional role. At Draper and Kramer, her strong work ethic has fueled meaningful contributions over the past four years.
Elizabeth brings consistency and focus to every aspect of her role — qualities that are crucial for long-term success. Her responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day servicing of a commercial real estate loan portfolio, including managing rate adjustments, payoffs, maturities, escrow analysis, financial reviews and tax payments. She collaborates with internal teams and external partners from initial funding through final release, ensuring a seamless process.

Elizabeth’s final spring semester at the University of Alabama took place amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and like many other graduates that year, she was scrambling to find a job. Since most job start dates were a few months after graduation, Elizabeth and her dad decided to take advantage of that time and take a road trip from Tuscaloosa. “About a month after we returned, I received the exciting news that I had been offered a role with Draper and Kramer. The team was incredibly accommodating, which made the transition into the working world much smoother.”
As her first job out of college, Draper and Kramer provided an immediate opportunity to apply the finance and investment management skills she developed in business school, laying a strong foundation for her career. “I quickly found that my job description aligned perfectly with my interests in finance, real estate and problem-solving, which I developed during my time in school,” said Elizabeth.

“One of the things I value most about Draper and Kramer is the collaborative and supportive culture,” she added. “There’s always someone willing to lend a hand or offer guidance, which makes a big difference in a work environment. I also appreciate the variety in my role because every day brings new challenges and opportunities to grow my skills.”
In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys hiking, working out, trying out new restaurants and spending quality time with friends and family. As a devoted dog lover, she’s always happy to lend a hand as the go-to dog sitter. Whether it’s exploring the outdoors or enjoying a great meal, Elizabeth loves bringing energy and joy into her everyday routine.

“Working at Draper and Kramer has been an incredibly rewarding experience,” said Elizabeth. “I’ve grown both personally and professionally thanks to the trust and autonomy I’ve been given — whether I’m collaborating on a new project or recharging with a hike or dinner with friends, I feel supported to bring my best self to work. I’m proud to be part of a team that values integrity, accountability and collaboration, and I look forward to continuing my career here.”
