CHICAGO - (June 15, 2022)

Draper and Kramer, Incorporated, a national full-service real estate firm, is pleased to announce it has promoted Gordon Ziegenhagen from vice president to senior vice president. In this role, Ziegenhagen will continue leading new development opportunities for the company in Chicago, including 1649 N. Halsted, a proposed 133-unit multifamily project in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, and 330 W. Chestnut, a proposed 129-unit multifamily property in River North. He is also actively pursuing opportunities for the company in other markets.

“As an 18-year veteran of our team, Gordon not only has vast industry experience but also deep company knowledge, which gives him an incredibly valuable perspective in identifying opportunities that match our priorities in today’s dynamic multifamily marketplace,” said Todd Bancroft, president and CEO of Draper and Kramer. “He has been a driving force behind some of our most recent and most successful new developments that have strengthened our portfolio of Class A rental properties in the Chicago market. As a family-owned company with a 100-plus-year legacy in Chicago, we’re especially proud of Gordon’s long-standing tenure with Draper and Kramer and are excited to have him leading the way with future projects in his new position.”

Ziegenhagen joined Draper and Kramer in 2004 as part of the firm’s acquisition and development division, where he has since managed all facets of the development lifecycle. He was instrumental in Draper and Kramer’s most recent new luxury rental developments, including Aspire Residences in Chicago’s South Loop and 61 Banks Street in the city’s Gold Coast neighborhood. He also led Draper and Kramer’s multi-phase redevelopment of the Lake Meadows Market retail center in Bronzeville, which brought the first Culver’s restaurant to the city of Chicago.

Prior to joining Draper and Kramer, Ziegenhagen spent 10 years as project manager with a leading management consultancy, where he garnered extensive strategy and implementation experience across a range of industries.

Ziegenhagen holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Michigan State University as well as a certificate in construction management from DePaul University. He is an Illinois Licensed Real Estate Broker and is member of the Urban Land Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers and Southside Builders Association.
