Draper and Kramer, Incorporated is pleased to announce that Alan Onchak, leasing director at the firm’s Moda at The Hill apartment community in St. Louis, was named 2023’s Leasing Director of the Year by the St. Louis Apartment Association (SLAA), an affiliate of the National Apartment Association (NAA).
This award is presented to a St. Louis-area residential leasing professional who demonstrates the highest level of customer service, mentorship, closing ratio success and overall professionalism.
“Alan’s nearly 89% closing ratio speaks for itself, but what I think is just as notable is the number of his colleagues who tout his mentorship and leadership,” said Julie Stevlingson, senior vice president and director of management services with Chicago-based Draper and Kramer. “He is always happy to share the secrets of his success with his team, offering suggestions for tour techniques, closing tips and follow-up best practices. His dedication is unmatched.”
Onchak joined Draper and Kramer in 2016, gaining experience as a leasing professional in Chicago before being promoted to leasing director and spearheading the successful lease-up of two Draper and Kramer properties in Chicago. He is now leasing director for Moda at The Hill, a 225-unit luxury rental community in St. Louis’ historic The Hill neighborhood. Under Onchak’s direction, the property has exceeded leasing expectations and recently topped the 80% leased milestone.
The annual SLAA awards were presented on May 18, 2023 at a sold-out banquet at St. Louis’ Sheraton Westport Lakeside Chalet.
