Draper and Kramer, Incorporated’s Ivy Sanz says her favorite thing about working for the firm is that it feels like one big family – which is important to this devoted grandmother and assistant property manager at Eleven Thirty (1130 S. Michigan), Draper and Kramer’s luxury rental building in Chicago’s South Loop. She notes she also loves getting to be a part of a team who makes residents happy to be living at the property, which features an array of amenities such as a resort-style pool and sundeck, dog deck and spa, and wine room that foster a tight-knit community among neighbors.
“The outdoor amenities are especially popular this time of year, with residents gathering in the poolside cabanas, around the firepit or at the grilling stations and really enjoying summer in Chicago together,” noted Ivy. “We have a number of long-time residents here and it’s nice to see those friendships form.”
Ivy is an 18-year veteran of Draper and Kramer but has been in the real estate industry even longer. She started her career at a residential brokerage, then moved to another Chicago-area property developer/manager before joining Draper and Kramer. In her current role – which she’s held for the past 13 years – she is responsible for accounts payable and receivable at the property, as well as overall resident service and satisfaction.
“Ivy always has a smile on her face and an open-door policy for all staff and residents,” said Julie Stevlingson, Senior Vice President and Director of Management Services for Draper and Kramer. “She has been instrumental in helping train and fill in at other properties throughout the years – always willing to help and share her knowledge. Ivy is a true professional; we are fortunate to have her in the DK family!”
In her personal time, Ivy’s passion includes walking and engaging with nature, which makes the lakefront location of 1130 S. Michigan the ideal work address for her. She also loves spending time with her children and two grandsons.
