As for education, Stone Oak is a part of the North East Independent School District (NEISD). It is one of the five highest-ranked school districts in San Antonio. Residents and guests fly into San Antonio International Airport. The airport is 10 miles due south of Stone Oak. In a pinch, north-side residents can use Austin-Bergstrom International. It is an airport about 75 minutes northeast of Stone Oak.
